Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinations.

  • Proactively lead your team by embodying AstraZeneca's leadership values and behaviors, while defining, communicating, and implementing a clear vision.

  • Drive your Regional Sales Team to meet or exceed established sales forecasts and call execution goals.

  • Recruit, train, and develop your field team effectively.

  • Collaborate with individual sales reps to set challenging goals for each territory.

  • Contribute to the business planning process for your team and region.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals and distribution of samples, adhering to Medicines Australia's framework.

  • Conduct strategic analysis of territory, market, and competitor information to identify strengths and weaknesses.

  • Work closely with marketing and digital teams to provide feedback on data quality.

  • Understand digital touchpoints to enhance customer interactions and improve relationships and sales outcomes strategically.

  • Develop sales reps to enhance their skills and advance their careers, including future Sales Manager roles.

Essential for the role

  • Proven sales management experience in pharmaceutical/medical devices and a successful selling track record

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus

  • Demonstrated successes in building strong external and internal relationships through effective communication, influencing, and collaborative networking skills

  • Results orientation, strong business acumen, and analytical skills to contribute effectively to the creation and implementation of sales/marketing strategies

Desirable for the role

  • Completed Medicines Australia CEP

  • Business and/or Science related tertiary qualifications are preferred
